Seeking a basketball-loving, LA-based (West Side/South Bay) Podcast Studio Manager/Producer for the longest-running athlete podcast — Road Trippin' with Richard Jefferson, Channing Frye, Kendrick Perkins & Allie Clifton. Manage home podcast studio in Hermosa Beach, as well as edit weekly long-form and short-form podcast content remotely for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and X. Develop and guide show strategy, tone, and aesthetic with NBA talent, guests and remote production team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and maintain professional podcast/YouTube studio in residential setting
- Set up, test, and troubleshoot all studio equipment (cameras, lighting, audio, streaming)
- Direct and execute live podcast recordings and YouTube productions
- Monitor multiple camera feeds and audio sources during live recording
- Ensure consistent high-quality production standards for all content
- Coordinate with remote guests and manage virtual recording setups
- Edit long-form podcast episodes weekly, meeting tight deadlines
- Create dynamic short-form clips optimized for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and X
- Prepare comprehensive episode rundowns with hosts
- Manage production calendar and coordinate host schedules
- Analyze show performance metrics to guide content strategy
- Collaborate with remote team of producers, editors, and designers
- Provide creative input on show evolution and improvement
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years operating professional video/podcast studios
- 2+ years editing sports podcasts/YouTube content with high-profile talent
- Proven experience with live multi-camera productions and streaming workflows
- Expert knowledge of studio equipment: cameras, audio interfaces, lighting
- Proficiency in live production software (OBS, vMix, or similar)
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
- Experience with audio production tools (Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or similar)
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly during live recordings
- Knowledge of YouTube best practices and algorithm optimization
- Strong passion for and knowledge of NBA basketball and sports content
- Excellent communication skills with talent and remote team members
- Self-directed with strong problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving production schedule and needs
- Reliable transportation to studio location
